The GNU Image Manipulation Program, better
known as GIMP, is a raster graphics editor used
to process digital graphics and photographs. One
can use it for simple manipulations like resizing,
copping or rotating photo’s, converting between
different image formats or creating simple
graphics and logos, but since GIMP features a lot
of professional features, like combining multiple
images and removing unwanted image features
GIMP is also a great program for a professional
Photographer. Last but not least GIMP can also be
used to create basic animated images in GIF
format.
