The Free Suite

OpenOffice.org is a collection of applications that work together closely to provide the features expected from a modern office suite. It aims to compete with Microsoft Office and emulate its look and feel where suitable. It can read and write most of the file formats found in MS Office, and many other applications. OpenOffice.org has been found to be able to open files of older versions of MS Office and damaged files that newer versions of MS Office itself cannot open.
